Native American Healing Hoop Drum

The American Indian Hoop drum is a frame drum. It is made out of a pine hoop of at least 8cm. width and 30cm. diameter or larger.

The hoop is covered with deer hide, which is the traditional hide the American Indians Peoples use, and which gives the powerful deep base tone.

To induce the healing sounds play a slow rhythm by hand or use a drumbeater.

To feel the vibration of the drum, keep it close to the body, but not to close to muffle the sound.

The American Indian Hoop drums and frame drums are a very powerful
type of drum.

They are used as a ceremonial tool as well as by traditional and modern Shamans alike.
