drumming has proved to be a wonderful tool to
bring fun, color, laughter and leisure into
a conference or work environment.
It is so easy to learn, and it
gives people an incredible sense of achievement,
to find they are playing several African rhythms
within half an hour, and have become a funky
African Orchestra within an hour!
African drumming encourages people
to listen, to play in harmony with one another.
Everyone plays their own beat, but integral
to the whole funky sound, the heart beat of
the whole group! It is also a safe way to let
go of tension and stress and to be “loud”.
So it is wonderful for teambuilding.
People
also find it very relaxing and uplifting, the
rhythm takes you out of your mind and into the
now, the doing, the present. But above all it
is so much fun!
I can come with my 15 years of
experience, my 40 African drums, enthusiasm
and my community know how*, and bring you and
your colleagues into the groove! I am also a
trained group leader, counselor and facilitator.
